Tom Mouse was a freebie kit along with crossstitcher magazine issue 177. It is a tiny and cute pattern...I could finish it in few hrs (between 2-3 hrs). I really enjoyed stitching this little Tom Mouse.

It seems, EMS RR confusion is over. I'm ready with my square and Senga's fabric is ready...will start stitching soon. I have found a perfect cat for her RR.

I am ready with my square in MSRR and hope to send it to Chiara, Italy soon. I really enjoyed stitching Margaret Sherry (MS) pattern. It is from 12 days of x'mas.

Last week was very busy with lots of happenings. Fire broke out in the kitchen of 11th floor apartment in our building. We heard the fire alarm at around 2' O Clock in the after noon. We were just finishing our lunch. We stay on the 10th floor...I really got paniced. Our house was covered with the smoke...we saw smoke coming out from the A/C vent, and thought...our house is in the fire. My nephew was also with me at that time, he was pulling me out of our apartment. Soon our floor was filled with smoke. We ran down the staircase. As soon as we reached down...security people were climbing up to put off the fire. By God's grace, they could put off the fire in few minutes.

There was a family gathering at our place on Thursday to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and anniversaries of our two cousins. It was a lovely evening. I cooked all our traditional dishes and all were happy with my food as usual.

I have to finish EMS RR soon. I have to finish few other stitching as well before the 31st....

I am trying to come back to stitching after a big gap of 4 months...Many happenings during the first 4 months of 2006...Now getting ready to go around the world as a robin and doing lots more exchanges...My stash in the shelf is calling me back to stitching...Haiiiiiiiiiiiiii...I'm coming back to stitching

I'm a stitchaholic, and I live from day to day.
I can't control my habit -- supplies just pile up on the shelf!

Oh, I'm a stitchaholic with too many UFO's...
I've tried to kick the habit time and again, God knows.
DH says he'll leave me if the pile gets too much worse,
But I'm gonna try to take em with me in that big black hearse

I sit and stitch and watch TV -- well, listen more than watch.
DH tells me what I miss and doesn't complain too much.
And when it's time to go to bed, he turns out all the lights --
He doesn't believe "just one more stitch" before I say goodnight!

I started stitching at the age of eight

I started stitching at the age of eight. I got my basic lesson of hand embroidery from my mother and we had a very good craft teacher in our school as well. Therefore, I got a chance to represent our school for craft competition. I used to do cross-stitch since I was small…but became an addiction after I joined cross-stitch board. Other than cross-stitch I do crochet and other hand embroidery. I learned hardanger too…but not done anything big in that. Now I wanted to learn glass painting and simple pencil sketching. I am just starting the process of learning that as well.

I was very happy when I saw that Linda's theme is Elephant, but I really found it difficult to get the cross-stitch pattern of an Elephant that will match her pattern. I tried to take a print of Elephant on a graph paper …but I could not get a pattern to stitch out of it. Therefore, with the help of few elephant pictures on graph, .I tried to draw an elephant on graph…and then I got the shape of Elephant. Hope that colors that I choose for Elephant did not spoil the work. The decorated Elephant, which I have stitched, is the traditional way of decorating Elephants for festivals, weddings etc. in our place. According to our belief, If we choose to keep a picture or idol of an Elephant at home, it's better to choose one with its trunk upward.
